Day Fifteen

Up at the crack of dawn today (literally) to go on a hike up Camelback Mountain, which isn't too far from the house.
Had to do it early as it gets too hot, too quickly. Even at 7am (when we arrived) it was in the high 80's.

A few facts for you!

... Camelback Mountain is a mountain in PhoenixArizonaUnited States. The name is derived from its shape, which resembles the hump and head of a kneeling camel. The mountain, a prominent landmark for the metropolitan Phoenix valley.

Elevation2,706 ft (825 m)
Prominence1,334 ft (407 m)

- Needless to say, we pretty much collapsed into Denny's after it and ate copious amounts of sugary and fatty food. We deserved it right? X

Still enjoying your blog Louise although I have been trying to produce two slide shows for Brian's 80 th birthday at one stage I thought I would be struggling to finish it for his 90 th birthday so I am really just catching up on every thing we had great difficulty finding this fountain in spite of it's size but when you think that Blackpool Tower is 350 feet high and that fountain is much higher than that puts it in perspective doesn't it............. grandad
